The "Guidelines" page they flash at -0:21 lists: Failure to adhere to the following guidelines may result in you and your date not being admitted to the prom. 1. Only one inch of the midsection can be shown 2. Bare back are acceptable 3. Slits in the dresses can be no more than three inches above the knee 4. See through fabrics should not be in places which reveal private body parts 5. Proper undergarments must be worn 6. Tennis shoes of any kind are unacceptable And they had to sign it. Now I personally don't care what she wears to her prom, but if you are spending the money on a custom-made dress, maybe you should, I don't know, make sure it doesn't violate that piece of paper you signed.

Yep, sounds like a total non-issue to me. Although to be honest, I don't see what anyone is making such a big deal about. Aren't prom tickets dirt cheap anyway?

What's dirt cheap to you? $150 a couple sure as hell wasn't.

My prom tickets were only 10 bucks. Granted, our prom was in an old Lowe's building...

While my prom was free, imagine the other costs associated with the night. Limo rental, a superb dinner, among other things. I agree with their decision to throw her out, but there ARE significant expenses associated with prom.

At my prom, my school made sure they covered everything. The "No canes" part ruined a lot of my classmate's plans.

A cane is only good if one person does it. So by ruining many people's plans the school saved all of them from looking like idiots.

Ruined his plans? Did they include impromptu step dances or maybe a bit of the 'ol ultraviolence?

At my prom two guys showed up dressed like Harry and Lloyd from Dumb and Dumber, along with canes.
